In 1995 Wets were about to release the Picture This album. They wanted something different for the album cover and decided to ask local artists to submit work to be considered to the album. They were so impressed by the quality of the work that not only did they use it all on the album, the also set up an a pop art exhibition to coincide with their European Tour. The exhibition travelled with them.
Julia Says was released on 13th March and went to number 3 in the charts.
When the album, Picture This was released the following month, it reached the
number 1 slot!
'95 was an exceptional year for Wet Wet Wet. They
toured the UK twice, with the All Around And In The Crowd UK Tour during June and July, with the
Picture This At Christmas Tour
finishing off an amazing year! May and June
saw the band in Europe, covering Holland, Germany, Belgium, France, Denmark and
Sweden on the All Around And In The Crowd Euro Tour.
And as the title suggests, the Picture This Rest of The World Tour took them to South Africa, New Zealand,
Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand
and the United Arab Emirates. Wets were hugely successful and deservedly so! The
were presented with awards for "Top Single", "Top Airplay Award" and "Best
Soundtrack"!

There were no tours or gigs this year.
In June, the band collected two awards presented by the Nordoff Robbins Music
Therapy Trust. They received the first one at a hotel in Edinburgh at the
Scottish Silver Clef Luncheon. They attended along with many Scottish musicians
and members of the media. Wet Wet Wet were awards the Scottish Silver Clef Award
1996 for Outstanding Contribution to Scottish Music.
At the charities main awards ceremony, the 21st Silver Clef Lunch, Wets once
again won the Silver Clef Award. This is the charities main award and is
presented to the band or artist who has made an outstanding contribution to the
music industry. Wet Wet Wet became the first band to win both the Scottish and
national outstanding achievement awards!
Also in support of the charity, the guys attended a gala performance of the
Phantom Of The Opera in Edinburgh on 5th July.

At the beginning of the year, Wets started the
promotion for If I Never See You Again and 10 in Dublin and Holland. They
did a couple of UK in-store appearances in London and Glasgow during March to
coincide with the release of 10 on 31st.
April saw them promoting in Spain and Germany whilst
If I Never See You Again
was released in the UK on 10th. They travelled a further a field in the summer
with promotions in France, Germany, Thailand and Hawaii! The third single from
10, Strange, was released on 2nd June with an
interesting video which was inspired by the film Mars Attacks!
July saw the reunification of Hong Kong with China. As part of the celebrations, a
pop extravaganza was held. Wets played at this concert and incorporated it into
a Far East promo tour which also saw them performing in Taiwan and the
Philippines.

Yesterday/Maybe I'm In Love
which was released on 4th August was sadly the last Wets single! Wets played 9
UK dates during August and September on their
10 Playing Away Tour.
There was more European promotion in the autumn with the band going back to
Germany in October and to Austria the following month.
in November, Wets fans were saddened and shocked to hear that Tommy was leaving the band.
The 10 Again Tour in December, for which Steve Washington played drums, was to be the last Wet Wet Wet concert tour, culminating in a fabulous show at Plymouth Pavilions on 23rd!

Little was heard of Wets for most of the year but then they were asked to take part in Night Of The Proms.

Wets headlined this touring show which combined classical music with pop. They
played 32 shows in Holland, Belgium, Austria and Germany from 28th October until
12th December.
